Your privacy is important to us. That’s why we’ve created this simplified Privacy Policy, to help you easily understand what
we do with your information.
The Portuguese Water Dog Club of America Health & Litter Database (HLD) is a publicly accessible database. Members of the public
are advised that inclusion of a breeder in this database is not an endorsement of that breeder, his or her breeding program,
or his or her practices.
Limited information in the HLD is publicly available without registering to the PWDCA HLD; specifically, dog names, breeder
and owner names (but not contact details), dog physical characteristics (color, coat type, etc.), but not health or DNA test
certification information and limited pedigree information. Registered users (also called “health participants”) can see all
breeder and owner information (to the degree permitted by each), as well as all litter and dog information (health and DNA
test certifications).
The HLD collects health data on dogs you own and breed. The PWDCA HLD Privacy Policy protects any information that you put
into the Health and Litter Database, when you sign in to the site. We are committed to ensure that your privacy is protected.
The PWDCA HLD collects all dog health and personal information that you as a member agree to and provide into the database.
The HLD has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control. The
PWDCA HLD will not sell, rent, exchange, transfer information without your consent.
The HLD has taken measures to prevent unauthorized access, and maintain to the best of our ability the correctness of the
information each subscriber enters into the HLD. To protect the integrity of the HLD and prevent abuse we record the fact
that you have logged into the site and if you have submitted data for you and your dogs.
Although we do our best to ensure accuracy of data, it is always possible that human errors can occur. If you spot an error,
please notify us via email at AdminTeam@pwdcahld.org and we will research the data in question and make any corrections to
data we find that is incorrect.
The HLL may contain links to third party websites. We have no control over, and are not responsible for the privacy policies
of those third party sites. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third party sites.
