The PWDCA Health and Litter Database has two types of access: basic "Guest" access and "Participating Member" access.
These are described in more detail here.
Guest Access
Guest access is a very basic level of access that is provided to everyone. It does not require a user name or password
but only allows a very limited display of data and many features of the database are restricted. This level of access
is similar to "Non-Participants" in the old Health and Litter Log (HLL).
Guest users can view some basic information about a dog such as name, registration numbers, physical characteristics,
and a basic pedigree. Guest users are not able to view health or certification/test information, relatives, litters bred,
coefficient of inbreeding, or owner/breeder contact information. Additionally, Guest users are not able to run reports or
trial pedigrees (test matings).
Guest users can use the submission forms to submit information about dogs they own.
Participating Members
Participating Members have full access to all features of the database. This level of access does require a user name
and password and they will be approved by our system administrator team. Participating Members are required to provide all
detail information they have about every dog they own, including all health information and test results. These are the
same requirements that Participating Members had in the old HLL.
Anyone who owns a purebred Portuguese Water Dog can be a Participating Member. You do not need to be a member of the Portuguese
Water Dog Club of America (PWDCA) although it is encouraged. It is through the generosity of the PWDCA that this database even exists.
